Stonehouse will remain closed to the public until further notice.

Long Reach Community Association staff members will continue to work remotely. 

Information regarding upcoming Board and RAC meetings will be posted on this website.

Legal documents/Resale Packet sales will be processed over the phone with a credit card and mailed.

Update on Village Elections & Nomination Period

Update on Village Elections & Nomination Period

Village Elections are still scheduled for Saturday, April 25 but subject to change. We will keep residents informed of adjustments to the plans as they occur. Currently:

  • The Association has three open positions on the Long Reach Community Association Board of Directors to fill by election. The Nomination Period ends at noon on Friday, March 20, 2020.
  • Candidates must file a Nomination Petition no later than March 20, 2020 by noon.  Packets are available for download on our website. Click here to download.
  • Nomination Petitions can be dropped off at Stonehouse or emailed by noon on March 20. Nomination Petitions can also be mailed, but candidates must contact the village manager by noon on Friday March 20th to give notice to Long Reach Community Association of the petition.  Village Manager contact info: email info@longreach.org or call Stonehouse at 410-730-8113.

UPDATE:   No resident, member of the Long Reach Community Association or witness signatures will be required for this election.  Also, no candidate signature is required if the candidate emails the petition to info@longreach.org.

Stonehouse will be closed to the public on Saturday, March 14th.

The board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 17th is cancelled.

Dance classes held at Stonehouse (Ballet with Cindee) are cancelled through March 27. Classes are planned to resume on March 28.

The following events are cancelled:

March 21 – Columbia Cleanup Day
March 23 – Master Gardener: Butterfly Gardening
March 28 – Searching for Spring

Board Nominations Now Open

Three Village Board positions will be filled at the annual Long Reach Election on Saturday, April 25, 2020.

∙ Candidates must be owners or lease-holding tenants (copy of the lease must be filed at the Village Office) of properties in Long Reach.
∙ Candidates must file a Nomination Petition no later than March 20, 2020, by 12 noon.
∙ The Long Reach Village Board meets the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of every month at Stonehouse.

At the February 18, 2020 work session of the Long Reach Village Board, County Executive Calvin Ball presented his vision for the Long Reach Village Center – Long Reach Rising.

Want to know what is happening to your village center?

Attend a community meeting regarding the future of Long Reach Village Center February 18, 2020 at 7pm at Stonehouse (8775 Cloudleap Court)

Representatives from Howard County Government, owner of the Village Center, will be attending the February 18, 2020 Long Reach Village Board Work Session to present and discuss potential options to fill the vacant storefronts. Residents are encouraged and welcome to attend.
