Have a sale in your own yard this fall, and we’ll take care of the advertising!

Here are a few things you may want to know:

• The start time is 8:00 am – we do not set an end time.
• We will post on our Facebook page and website and send out an email newsletter listing participating street names. To be included in these lists, you must sign up by noon on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
• You may put up signs advertising your sale and directing people to your house. Please put up signs no earlier than Friday and REMOVE ALL SIGNS by Sunday. 
• If you live in an apartment complex or condominium community, you may want to check with your management company or HOA to see whether they have any regulations on holding yard sales.
• If you have further questions, please email events@longreach.org.

Show us what you love about living in Long Reach!

Submit a photo of Long Reach for a chance to win a prize and display your framed photograph at Stonehouse this Fall! An Awards Reception is scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2026, 6-7 pm at Stonehouse. The event is open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided, along with a short awards presentation.

HOW TO SUBMIT:

You must be a Long Reach resident to participate. Fill out the 2026 PHOTO CONTEST FORM. Submit your entry via email by sending your photo and completed contest form to events@longreach.org. Rules and conditions are listed on the form.

Submission deadline is Sunday, October 4, 2026 at midnight.

Prize Categories (Amazon Gift Cards):

• Adult (18 Years or older): 1st Place: $75 / 2nd Place: $50 / 3rd Place: $25
• Children & Teens (6-17 years old): 1st Place: $50 / Second Place: $25

All 5 award winners will be invited to exhibit their work this Fall at Stonehouse from October 26 through November 6, 2026.

Winners will be announced Thursday, October 15, 2026, on our website.

Celebrate Walktober with Long Reach!

Join Long Reach as we participate in Walktober, a statewide initiative that encourages walking and highlights its many benefits. This is one of the best times of the year to enjoy the beautiful natural spaces throughout our community.

Each guided walk will showcase different pathways, scenic spots, and points of interest right here in Long Reach. It’s a great opportunity to get outside, connect with neighbors, and appreciate what makes our village special. The walks are free. There are no rain dates. Registration is not required unless noted. Just show up ready to walk! We will post inclement-weather cancellations on our website. For more information, email events@longreach.org.

Thursday, October 15, 10 am – 12 pm – Blandair Mansion Historical Preservation Tour. Please note: This tour includes stairs, dirt paths, and uneven ground. Please ensure you can walk on varied terrain. No strollers permitted on this walk. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for this walk – Registration link will be posted soon.

Friday, October 2, 6:30 pm at Stonehouse

BINGO IS BACK, LONG REACH!
After a long break, we’re rolling out the cards, the pizza, and the Kona Ice for a night of pure community fun. So bring your daubers, your lucky charms, and your best Bingo energy. Let’s make it a night to remember!

Date: Friday, Oct 2, 2026
Time: Doors at 6:30 pm • Bingo at 7 pm
Location: Stonehouse
Cost: $5 per person (10 game cards + pizza + drinks + Kona Ice!) Daubers for sale at the event: $2 each.
