Rick McCray was elected to the Long Reach Board of Directors for a two-year term ending April 30, 2026.

Three Village Board positions were open for the annual Long Reach election held on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Election Day voting and activities were held at Locust Park Neighborhood Center (8995 Lambskin Lane).


The order in which the candidates appeared was selected randomly.

Candidates’ Night has been canceled due to it being an uncontested election.


Who Can Vote:

Owners and tenants of Columbia Association assessed property in Long Reach in good standing are entitled to vote. Only one vote per ownership or tenancy interest will be counted. Note: Tenants must have a copy of their current lease on file at Stonehouse.

How to Vote (three options):

Long Reach Community Association members will have three options for voting: online, by absentee ballot, or in-person on election day. Ballot Priority: The first ballot received has priority if multiple ballots are submitted for a single property.

  • In-person: Saturday, April 20, 2024, 9:30 am-12:30 pm at Locust Park Neighborhood Center (8995 Lambskin Lane)
  • Online: Please follow the instructions on the Absentee Ballot, which will be mailed early April. Online voting closes at 4 pm on Friday, April 19, 2024.
  • Absentee: Absentee Ballots are available at the village office beginning April 1, 2024. You may stop by during office hours to pick one up and vote on the spot. You may also request an Absentee Ballot be mailed to you by emailing elections@longreach.org. Please NOTE: All Absentee Ballots must be received at Stonehouse by 4 pm on Friday, April 19, 2024, or by a member of the Election Committee no later than midnight on Friday, April 19, 2024.

Please Note: Due to building construction, the village office will move from Stonehouse to another location in the Long Reach Village Center on April 12, 2024. Our office will be closed on April 12-18, 2024 due to the move.

The 2024 Long Reach Village election results will be posted online after the Election Committee certifies the results, which can take up to one week due to the certifying of online votes. The results will be posted at Stonehouse and on the website once the results are certified. Please do not contact the Election Committee, the Village Board, or Village Staff during this time, as the partial results cannot be shared. Thank you.


Saturday, April 20, 2024 • Locust Park Neighborhood Center (8995 Lambskin Lane)

In-person voting – 9:30am – 12:30pm

Paper Shredding – 9am – Noon: Safely and securely dispose of sensitive information. FREE for Long Reach residents (ID Required). $10 for all others. Limit 3 grocery bags/banker boxes per household. The event is over once the truck is full. This is not a drive-through event. Participants must be able to carry their shredding from their car to the shredding truck.

Native Plant Giveaway – 9am – Noon: Pick-up a beneficial and beautiful native plant for your garden. First-Come, first served.
