Did you know that walking is our official state exercise in Maryland? Join your neighbors in Long Reach to celebrate Walktober, a statewide initiative to promote walking and all of its health and wellbeing benefits. This is one of the best times of the year to appreciate how much beautiful space we have in our community. Our special guests will guide you on a one-hour walk in three different neighborhoods in Long Reach:
- October 5, 10am– meet at the Kendall Ridge Pool for a walk with a member of Long Reach CARES (Community Action and Resources for Environmental Stewardship)
- October 12, 10am– meet at Jeffers Hill Neighborhood Center for a walk with Long Reach Village staff
- October 19, 10am– meet at Jackson Pond for a walk with John McCoy, CA Watershed Manager
Advance registration is appreciated. This event is free and open to all ages. Participants will receive a free gift! Register at LRCA.Eventbrite.com
